Survey location in Anji,Zhejiang Province
Anji county located in the north west of Zhejiang province about 100 miles away from north west of Shanghai city. Its forest coverage is 71%, rich with bamboo groves and forests. Owning to it prominent developed bamboo industry, Anji has been honored with the title of ¡°Number one of the top ten town of Bamboo in China¡±. There are more than 1800 bamboo related processing enterprises which has been established gradually since the end of latest 1980¡¯s. It¡¯s bamboo industry contributed significantly to the local people¡¯s lively hood, poverty reduction and the increasing of forest coverage.

60 SMFEs spreading in four towns have been surveyed. There are Yan nan District, Hongtian town, Xiyang town, Xiao tao town.
